Why HSMP ?

With the Highly Skilled Migrant Program (HSMP), life becomes much easier as you are not tied, to a particular job or an employer. You can work for whoever you like, including yourself (self employment), changing jobs whenever you wish. As in the rest of the world, in the UK, contractors earn a lot  more. HSMP is a must have for contractors . Provided you score at least 75 points, you can apply yourself, without even having a job offer from a  UK employer. These are significant advantages compared to a Work permit. After 5 years as an HSMP holder you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (Permanent Residency) and after 1 more year you can apply for British Citizenship (naturalization).




How can I apply ? 

If you score 75 points, this is a very simple application and you definitely don't need to pay a “consultant ”. Currently HSMP fee is £400. The tricky thing is you get only one chance to provide all the relevant material. If you fail to do this, your application will be rejected and you will have the pleasure of submitting a new application, with your new evidence and payment !. So get it right the first time and save yourself 400 pounds.




To get HSMP you have go through 2 steps

1.  Apply for HSMP, initial clearance is for 2 years.
2.  Once you have obtained HSMP,

  1. If you are already in the UK, apply for Further Leave to Remain (FLR-HSMP) 
  2. If you are abroad apply for entry clearance.
