Tips and important things to do !

How to pay the fee (£400) ?

The quickest way to pay is by postal order, but either debit or credit card card payment only takes 1 day. So if you don't like queuing at the post office then pay by card.

English language requirement

It's a must to either pass IELTS or done your degree in English. If you have a professional qualification like BCS (British Computer Society) the best thing to do is IELTS – General test and achieve level 6. I specifically mean the general test, as this is much easier, compared to the Academic test. If you are not sure about getting a letter from your University to say that you have studied in English, again the solution is IELTS – General test.

HSMP Covering letter

This simplifies things for the person who is processing the application. Having paid £400 you really shouldn't have to do this, but this helps to speed things up . Please have a look at the sample letter I used.

Officially stamped payslips

It's very important to get your official payslips (for 12 months) stamped by the HR (Human Resources). Each and every single payslip for this 12 month period must be sent !. Even if you have the official payslips, it's important to get them stamped and preferably signed.

Tax return (P60 for UK)

Please make sure that you tax return covers the full period you are claiming !. If it covers only a part of the 12 month period then sent a pay letter from HR (see below).

Pay letter from Human Resources (HR)

A letter from the employer (HR) detailing the monthly salary for each month as further exceptional evidence. Again this should be in addition to the payslips you are providing. Please see the sample letter.

How to post ? Stupid question I know, but if you are in the UK please send your application by Royal Mail Special delivery. The package can be tracked on line at Royal Mail Track and Trace. As you can see below I always like to keep track of things :)

How to find out how quickly other are getting approval ?

I used Immigration tracker. This was very useful to see how quickly other people managed to get approval.

Should I use forums ?

Yes, I find these places to be very useful. As always you have to be very careful to not to give away your personnel details, on the forum.
